This was taken at the base of Lower Falls in Yellowstone. It was a 1 mile hike down about 800 feet. Needless to say the walk back up was not an easy one :(
The Falls are behind me in this shot and this is Yellowstones version of the Grand Canyon with the Snake River Running through it! The Risk of walking through this canyon to see the amazing Sky Open up as is does in this shot it what makes it all so Beautiful!

Very beautiful scene, very nicely captured! We landscape and nature photographers are all throwbacks to William Henry Jackson--willing to go to great lengths and risks to get a great shot, and it is always worth it!

Thanks Very Much! Its a single image and I did bump the tone control on the rocks a bit to give them a little more contrast and detail. Other then that I just sharpened it a touch and Posted it..
