I am a self-taught artist. I see myself as an artist who's highly influenced by mysticism and fantasy. My favorite drawing subjects are fairies, witches, mermaids or sorceresses. I love working with soft pastels and colored pencils.
Aug 1st, 2011I’m a 45 year old archaeologist and cartographer by training, engineering and stormwater design specialist by profession, but history and art buff by heart. I’ve loved history and art since I was a small child and that love has carried through all these years. My current favorite painting technique, since I discovered the Wacom tablet, is photoshop airbrush painting! I enjoy portraiture and find it extremely relaxing. I use it as a break from other paintings or just for kicks. I’m so happy to be here on Shadowness! This is a great group of people. Not only are you talented but you are kind as well. Thank you for the wonderful support you’ve given!!!!
May 30th, 2011I'm a fantasy/gothic artist from Michigan. I paint in traditional media, mainly with watercolor and a little white goauche, but I occasionally include colored pencils too. My art has a tendency to lean toward darker fantasy because that is my favorite thing to paint, but I like lighter subjects too. May 28th, 2011I am a professional artist from Washington State. I create fantasy artworks as well as animals in art and wildlife art. I started drawing at a very young age and am completely self-taught. Encouragement from many has enabled me to put all of my efforts into each piece and to always try to better myself. Many of my works have been award winners. I work primarily in pencil, graphite, acrylic and digital, although I try to work in every medium I can get my hands on and experiment with tecniques. I always appreciate that many have enjoyed my art and I really want to thank each one of you that takes a look.
