Scifi Jungle

Worked on this over the weekend. Just some random science facility in a jungle... because, why not? It was done for a concept design project at school. I rushed it towards the end because of the deadline, so I will most likely go back to it and finish it up some more. Good news is I finally recorded a video of myself doing one of these, which you can take a look at at the link below. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking! Rick's in the outskirts of Imperium city trying to get some information on his creator, Hank Soothey, and the events surrounding his unfortunate death. As it turns out, nobody wants to help a robot. Good thing Rick doesn't take no for an answer. This is my fan art piece for Danny LuVisi's Last Man Standing that I finished up yesterday and I think it might be the most colorful thing I've ever done. One quick note before I leave. Unwanted Arrival

My entry into CGMA"s Mechworld Challenge which includes both mech and world categories. Naturally, I went towards the environments, but I couldn't help but put some sort of sentry drone (love those little guys) in there. The scene itself is of mysterious spheres that came to Earth and turned the whole planet into an icy wasteland. Our vantage point is from some cliff in what once was a tropical jungle. I should have probably put some actual architecture in there, but we'll see what the judges think. Hobbit

I debated whether or not to submit this because I'm really not that impressed with it. This was created for a matte painting competition over at CGChannel (the theme was The Hobbit). In case anybody is wondering, it isn't supposed to look like the Rivendell from the films. I wanted to take it in a different direction. Truthfully, my interest in it fell less than halfway through, but I wanted to see it through to the end anyway. I do enjoy some parts of it, so I hope you will as well. Did this some months ago (same with Smileyface Killer). It's pretty much just some force that is eating away or sucking the life out of the planets.
