This blue rose card is 5" x 7" and done in Prismacolor pencils. This shot was taken after I'd sprayed one coat of Krylon workable fixitive on the piece. I think you can see the difference using a fixitive can make. This also helps the piece since it is a card and meant to be handled the colors won't smear or rub off. This also eliminates the wax bloom that you can see in the before spray shot. I hope that this will help others to see what a difference using a fixitive can make. :smile

Oh wow, the colors are more vivid. I had never thought that a fixative could have this effect.

That's why I wanted to show the difference that spraying can make not only to the colors but to make our artwork last that much longer too... I really just learned this myself and so wanted to share it with my fellow artists... Now if I can just get the word out!

Thank you so much This is actually a greeting card that I may try to sell today despite my wife saying no...
I've got a sort of art fair today where I try to sell my artwork along with other artists of various types. The neat thing about the cards is that you can stil frame it after you've given the card.

It really makes the colors more vivid. Is it the same with Krylon Crystal Clear? that's the only one available here. I've only used Grumbacher Matte so far for fear that the Gloss will alter the colors in a bad way. Thanks for posting buddy.
