this was quite the setup! I have a t-shirt of the 4 ponies of the apocalypse and had displayed the image reverse on my giant TV. used my faerie figurine to hold the water drop, and did my best to make sure all 4 ponies were as much in focus as possible.

agreed! you HAVE to learn macro! it's a pain in the arse at first, but seriously once you get the hang of it, a whole new world opens up :D

the best tip I can give you is to keep practicing with it, work on your physical distances from your subjects and play around with different apertures. work on things NOT moving at first, as they are very hard to take macro photos of lol
