Taken shortly after dusk, there was still reflected light from the sun, and a very thin veil of clouds across the face of the moon. The effect on the lighting was outstanding under these conditions. If this looks familiar it is the background I used for "Anachronomaly," but I think it can stand on its own, as well.

Lovely shot! I have a very difficult time with these types oh shots. they very rarely turn out for me.

It's hard to get the lighting right. This is actually two exposures, one for the clouds and one for the details of the moon. I didn't consider it as manipulation, because it didn't change the actual scene in any way.

No, I don't think I would call it a manipulation either. It's like when I adjust the Brightness/contrast and do cropping. I don't consider that manips.

I am on a low budget, so I use a Nikon Coolpix L110, which is a fancy point and shoot with a 28-300mm optical zoom lens. I know that doesn't tell you much. Perhaps I will have a more versatile dslr in the near future, but this camera does do what I need it to do, most of the time.
