"Every creator painfully experiences the chasm between his inner vision and its ultimate expression." [by Isaac Bashevis Singer, 1902-1991, american novelist, winner of the Nobel Prize in literature in 1978]
This was one of my first shots with my Pentax MV1, using a ASA 200 film. It was taken in 2004.

great exposure. What film is this? i'm a film geek. and /dehk is another analog user. Im glad you chose to share your stuff here. Killer detail in those tracks!

Hmmm... It's an old shot, can't remember what film I've used, but probably was a Kodak or Fujifilm, I usually used one of those! :)

Id love to know. please check out /analogphotography too! I am in search of a good standard cheap film. I enjoy shooting expired slide films, and I also develop them at home. black and white, i have not settled on a clear favorite, and I only recently became involved in shooting medium format. trix is my favorite classic emulsion so far...but i tend to like ilford delta in t-grain films. i use acufine, caffenol and tmax developers, currently.

Ok, I'll try to find out the negatives to see what film I've used, but I can't promise to find it, because nowadays I usually shot only in digital, especially for economic and quickness reasons! :)

I understand...film is quite time consuming...but very little compares to the tonality and the 'look'... i think its worth it, but then again, im not working against a deadline. :)

Yes, I agree that film still has "the magic" and the excitement to see the results, but digital really makes some works faster and easier to have the work done! :)
Apr 19th, 2011 ReplyI have to try someday doing some experiments with expired film combined with pinhole! :)
HellOnAStick
sounds interesting. i have a brownie twin 20 that is basically a 'caveman advanced' pinhole. :) I'd love to see what you come up with!

The pinhole I own was bought some time ago, it's a kit for kids to learn the basics of Photography! :D I haven't try it out yet, but I hope soon I can manage to have some spare time to go make some experiments! ;)
