To define what is special about one of your own images is a hard question. For me this works because all of the elements fit together. Hopefully the viewer will look at it for more than 5 seconds and find some humour in it.
2.Did you choose, or were you chosen to create this artwork?
This was an idea that came to me when I acquired the sowing machine.I make art for myself, unfortunately it is hard to find sponsors to commission art.
3.Tell us about your techniques.
This image is a composite of 2 images.
The girl was shot in my London studio and the background was shot in a museum of interior design also in London. It's a simple Photoshop job to blend the two.
4.Where did you found your inspiration about this artwork?
The idea started with the sowing machine and I wanted to shoot with it sowing almost anything that it shouldn't have. For example a book, a fish or even human skin.I decided to be more subtile and go with a condom. After all they don't grow on trees.
5.How do you feel about the feedback and the response you received? Do you care? Or do you like to figure it out all by yourself?
The feedback and comments on Shadowness is very important to me.I have images both new and old, that I don't have on any other site. It's almost like a "proving ground" for those images.I really do appreciate all comments on all images and enjoyed to ones given to this one.
6.What is the strangest or funniest comment or question you've ever gotten about this artwork?
None of the comments on this image have been particularly strange or funny but I did like RajaNasution's-my God....,you are always amazed me with the #%$#%$(speechless)
7.What are your biggest doubts (assuming you have any), about your artwork?
We are all artists and therefore we worry that we are 'not good enough' that we will 'run out of ideas' etc etc.I am no different. I look to leave the viewer asking questions, it is only right that I ask those questions of myself.Perhaps when I stop asking I will stop making art.
