This is special because i made it for very talented artist miss Hana (RHOB).She supported my works since we met in a social site.when i saw this old sketch i said to myself that this looks like someone i know...
then i want to get this done to give it to her but i realized that there is no resemblance at all, so i think twice before letting her know that this is for her... XD
2.Did you choose, or were you chosen to create this artwork?
I choose to get this done. It is a personal artwork, not for commission.Sometimes i just want to get away from my clients wants and needs so i take some rest and do something that i thought about (no suggestions from clients),something that i will enjoy more even if i will not get any money from it.
3.Tell us about your techniques.
The techniques are all about the lines and the shapes of the colors.Using thick bold lines with pointed and smaller details for the line arts, my shape colors are pointed too.
I use Adobe Illustrator and a Bamboo Fun graphic pen tablet for my artworks. For the lines i use the BRUSH TOOL(6d artbrush preset brushes) because the pen pressure works great in this set and BLOB TOOL for the shape colors.
I'm not too good in drawings, most of the time i look over the internet to see how things or character were done, then i start doing it my way.
I think because i use to see random artworks/photos the get the looks i need made my artworks looks new and good.
4.Where did you found your inspiration about this artwork?
One day i am sorting my old dirty sketches and i saw some aren't done yet, so i decided to pick one from them and get it done. This is the sketch that is chose (girl because i thought she looks like someone else) and a WIP of a gig poster that i didn't finish at all (octopus and shark) then combined them to form this i don't know what would this mean until i got it done so this for me means like what i experience every time i wait for something like a bus or a person, lots of weird things runs in my head and before my eyesight...
I just added the beanie cat because RHOB loves cat.
5.How do you feel about the feedback and the response you received? Do you care? Or do you like to figure it out all by yourself?
The feedback are all good, they love it.
I do care about what people said and might say about my artworks, like when i got good feedback then I wanted to do more and when I got bad feedback then its like some pointers to work on..I know i can figure out whats wrong with my works because I don't settle that easy with the colors, layouts, lines, ideas.I use to make choices for myself like 3 different color schemes,3 different layouts or less then i'll pick what i think is best and sometimes i show it to some friends and get their opinions.
6.What is the strangest or funniest comment or question you've ever gotten about this artwork?
This comment from SUPERPALITS "Oha ohoah oaho hao hoah oahoha! :D Hehehe! Bangis!" is the funniest, i think because of that oha ohaoh hahahaha, that's crazy!.
And this one from KEIIISI "Cool! I wonder who the girl is you're pertaining to :D" because this has proven that the girl has no resemblance with RHOB haha!...
7.What are your biggest doubts (assuming you have any), about your artwork?
Hmmmm.Maybe the background and the pattern in it..
I could have done something more about it. It's just that i need to work with my clients' designs so i didn't do experiments with its background..but i am satisfied about this artwork =)
