Here is a painting of the mountain peak spirit, conversing with a lost traveler brought to him by his owly minions. This being often helps travelers find their way in foggy mountain regions. Dead travelers are resurrected as an owl spirits. I've painted a bookmark of this being in the past but it doesn't show his full body nor how ENORMOUS it is. Original looks much better, but that's the best I could do scan-wise with this type of paper. (Update: Reedited to look closer to the original) _____________________ Size: A3 Watercolors, white ink and pencil. This work is more detailed and differs in style from the first work in the series, but I'll do my best to make the works "connect" better together as I make more, color-wise, detail-wise and style-wise. I believe this will be the most detailed one, since it's quite cluttered in my opinion x). ______________________ Size: 5.9''x5.9'' Watercolors, white ink and pencil. I hope her little one will dig tigers like her mother does. A very unusual color palette for me, I think it's the first time I used pink in my paintings. Have to say I fell in love with the warm, happy and refreshing feeling this color produces. ______________________ Size: 5.9''x5.9'' Watercolors, white ink and pencil. Often, gifts and sacrifices were made to pacify the unwanted visitors. Beautiful maidens, particularly those with a unique hair color for their region, were the most common gift among otherwise poor villagers. The enslaved girls are to maintain their masters' den for the rest of their lives. Many maidens perish within a few months of being given to their draconic slavers from essence intoxication. Most human bodies cannot withstand the intense magical energy emanating from dragons. The few girls who do survive often mutate into half human - half wyrm creatures. This type of slavery is forbidden in the cities however, where armored knights can overpower most serpents. Dragons who wish to lay their claws upon fine silks, gems, feathers and other treasures sold behind the walls of the city, often use their slaves to get them. Since letting their slave go on her own proves risky as she may never return, serpents often act as pets to their maidens... ______________ I've been working on a few works simultaneously for the past two weeks. Managed to finish this one rather quickly today. __________________________ Size: 7.8''x11.7'' Watercolors, ink, pencil and pastel. Although some might say the design and colors are ridiculous (dem nails), it was a very fun digital practice for me and I actually learned quite a few new PS tricks from this monstrosity. Redline is VERY much encouraged ♥! Surrounded by my demons, my children of the night, the creatures of dark forests and cold mountains. Lost in agony, blinded by fear, I move towards the light; I wish to be found. I wish to find myself. ~ Wow. This is the largest format I've ever worked on (larger than A2!), and it was extremely challenging. I've started this work in August 2012, having huge intervals between each step of this work. I think I've started coloring it a year ago. I'm not happy about the end result, but I'm glad to label it as a finished work nevertheless. Working on this was an interesting yet frustrating experience, as my skills improved during the two years, and the more progress I've made, the more mistakes I've noticed (especially in anatomy and composition). I'd rather not receive critique on this, as the sketch was done 2 years ago and my knowledge and skills improved greatly since then. You're very much welcome to leave a crit on any of my recent works! Watercolors, acrylic, white ink, pastel, colored pencil, mechanical pencil. A2+ sized. See this?- http://sta.sh/03urkym9hky This is a 3 yr old sketch of mine I found on my pc recently and one of my first failed attempts at digital arts. This week I decided to make something out of it, in spite of the screwed up anatomy x>. I think the face looks much better now (the hand/arm doesn't, but oh well.). I still have no idea what am I doing most of the time when working digitally. Still trying out different brushes and settings, hopefully to become as comfortable with it as with the traditional media. Tips are greatly appreciated!
