Aidan Turner

Yeah, Mr Aidan Turner again :B I'll omit the part where I'm explaining why I like him and it's not only because of his good looks.
It's my first serious coloured pencil portrait! :D The first attempt at drawing human face in coloured pencils took place 2 years ago and the reference photo wasn't really complicated so I don't consider it a proper coloured pencil portrait. But this one... this one was tricky! Aidan has beautiful facial features and I didn't want to screw his likeness up - I fixed his eyes, nose and mouth several times. I'm not fond of drawing curly hair, so these friggin' curls put my patience to the test  The background was drawn from my imagination. I decided not to copy the background from the reference photo, but I didn't want to leave it white either. So eventually I came up with something bokeh-ish :B
I hope all this was worth my effort! I mean, it turned out different than I'd envisioned, but I'm proud of myself :)
