My world no longer black and white seeking refuge in the comfort of love, create me a fantasy. Who AM I? Opportunities creates a path taken me to a resting place much like I remembered. Where? look in my Soul what do you see? Tell me... What is it? All I see is me looking at me, only Me? not for long. Who am I? A mirror reflection of reality itself. There! now I have you figure you out, only for Now my children only for now. The next Now could bring another reflection of the other. Jul 11th, 2011Lowbrow is a widespread populist art movement with origins in the underground comix world, punk music, hot-rod street culture, and other subcultures. Lowbrow art often has a sense of humor - sometimes the humor is gleeful, sometimes impish, and sometimes it is a sarcastic comment. The single most common tactic that Lowbrow artists employ is to poke fun at convention. They know the "rules" of art, and consciously choose not to abide by them. If the test of time for legitimacy (as an artistic movement) means that Lowbrow speaks/spoke, in visual terms, to the millions of us who share a common cultural, symbolic language - albeit a "lower" or "middle" class, media-driven language - then, yes, Lowbrow is here to stay. Anthropologists will probably study Lowbrow in the future, to attempt to figure out late 20th and early 21st century U.S. societal influences.

Apr 27th, 2011Psychedelic Alchemy Like the pelican, the bird that plucks blood from it's own breast, the quintessence that flows down into the domain of the child of the pelican, revealed as the elixir vitae, the lapis philosophorum, the completion that the alchemist sought. But really, the search is not into channeling liquids, gasses, but in the service of channeling Spirit out of matter into the higher realms where then it can be yield as the central mystery brought to completion. It's the Self that we are trying to recover... this is lumine di lumina, the light trapped in matter, the lux natura... This is Universal medicine curing all ills. It is what everyone is looking for but no one can find...
