I love edge lighting things with moon light. It's out of my imagination, but it still makes the birds look the most important.

My mantra is go darker than you think with the background and the object you wish to high light. If the object isn't dark enough and the back ground is too light the edge lighting won't work. It has taken me years to get to this knowledge. Go darker, darker, darker, and the edge light will work and the object will pop. Look at Rembrandt, current illustrators very successful in gaming art, and use a color for the edge light. Usually a compliment to what ever color the object is. If the object is blue go light yellow or orange...if the object is purple go green...if it's green go purple or hot pink. Try different complementary colors or triadic color schemes that work. Again in all the successful photoshop wild, strong, graphic illustrations, from Disney movies to now they use these formulas because they work!

Didn't notice the number until now. :P Now I know I did see them in order from 1 to 3. These are amazing. I have never done one of these, but now I am tempted. Lovely work.

Thank you! I like to do pictures that make one complete picture, but each stands on its own. Crows and ravens are intelligent and flock in groups or families, but it's fun to do tripdytchs of any subject matter!
