Trinity Baptist Church

by HouseofChabrier in Stained Glass Windows

This is a Huge stained glass window that I designed, help cut, helped grind, helped assemble. It was one of the last projects I worked on for Fine Line Designs before leaving and going to DEC Associates to work. This is in LA near USC, and I designed the two tall side panels (you see only the left side Panels in this photo) to be doors. Thus a person getting baptized walks into the full immersion Baptistry Pool, from the right door, descends into the Baptismal Pool, and then walk out of the pool, up steps, and through the Left hand door to exit. I loved this job, and working with our Carpenter designed the layout of the wood to support the individual windows that together create this scene. The wood is Oak, and all work was done in the factory of Fine Line Designs with the aid of about 6 other people. It is good to learn and know every craft, and steps in a job so when you design you understand what each step involves. This not only helps you to be a better designer, but aids everyone involved in the manufacturing of the parts or panels.
