Well, it's 11:00 in the night here...we broke record heat and high humidity today...so that means go take a midnight swim before I go to sleep. It's always better to go to bed, refreshed and rejuvenated. I missed getting art up today for the first time, but I was painting, and then had to go pick up medicine at the pharmacy. Thank you, and perhaps the second"For a friend" image will be done and go up tomorrow. Take good care, and don't kiss anyone who has eaten shell fish. That would be a killer kiss. I knew someone who had to have the paramedics called because he kissed his girlfriend and couldn't breathe because she had eaten something he was allergic to. I also witnessed the same thing happen in a restaurant because they were cooking with cheese and the vapor entered his lungs. He didn't have to eat a thing just breathe air, Scary stuff...it's lucky you can be a chef. Good night, and take very good care of yourself wherever you are!
I better get my booboo kisses from you .. they are not dangerous to me and thanks for the wishes Anne .. yeah about shellfish I'm always super hyper careful :)
I have sent a bushel of booboo kisses to you. They should last at least one day, but with all the activity here and at DA you might wear your fingers to the bone. Then you will just end up with bony fingers, so I will send an extra batch in case you are doing a lot more typing than expected!
Well I save some typing for your images and on dA I don't type anything right now .. this community is getting worse every day and I don't like dA at all :(
The problem with DA is there is no standard for art at all. People are putting up snap shots, scribbles, and shots of vagina or penis or breasts and calling it art. It's like people are still 1 year old going on two, and just now discovering their private parts. At least this community keeps the standards pretty high still.
Yeah dA has a big problem with that and I don't understand the standard of art either .. they just want to sell old internet memes and think lets make a quick buck on this teenies and let them upload whatever they want .. it's already a combination of myspace and all those other teenie sites :(
What I don't get is why artists are like playing one note on a harmonica or one chord on a guitar, and there is a whole orchestra out there. Why don't people strive to learn different skills, different mediums, and different techniques. Even if you don't use the technique professionally you never know when you might. To me knowledge is power, and not knowing just leaves you open to being a victim. I have learned so much, and gained so much knowledge just by listening to other people, usually older, and learning from them. If you only do your work your way, then each job will be tackled the same. If you learn from others you soon have 2,3, 10 ways to solve a problem.
That's how I'm doing it .. I read and listen a lot and always try to learn something different .. some I might forget over the time but they always come back if I need them
Thank you so much. It went unfinished for years...then I got on a "finish all your art work before you die!" The result is a great deal of completed work, and then new ones started because I got inspired. Life is funny that way!
Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful piece of art, it's inspirational to all of us artists and at Shadowness we like to thank our amazing artists for all they do.

Congratulations!
Thank you so much, I love them too. I once was honored with the permission to visit and photograph a private collection of a great variety of Toucans and toucanettes. It was a memorable day, and where most of my photos come from. It was so incredible, and then I've photographed them in Cancun, and at zoos, but it wasn't ever as grand as the private collection. Those animals were either cranes walking free in this huge garden, or in really big cages just for two birds. I mean bigger than a zoo cage for a pair of birds. Amazing! The variety was better than zoos too.

Thank you I enjoyed painting this one, especially the moss on the branch, and the waterfall.
