Thank you!! I like this painting too. I guess I just love chicks running around, jumping off of everything, and trying to be like the grownups. We have a chicken that has successfully raised four chicks, and in the country that's not easy. They are always jumping into and out of my pots that have jungle plants and flowers in them. That's what prompted me to draw the one chick jumping off the log. They are always moving full tilt while the adults are more cautious and on the look out!

Even though the paper is highly textured on one side and relatively smooth on the other side I enjoy the varied colors within the paper, and I like painting the rough side. I think it ads to the richness of the painting. I'm working on one with Giraffes now, but I also want to try painting an owl. I'm trying to clean and organize my home and studio by day, and paint by night. There is never enough time in a life time to do everything we want to do. I never thought life would go by so quickly. I'm glad I created something magical for you!

Adorable. It was always fun to sit in a low tree branch, sipping tea and watching the quail and the pheasants run through the corn fields.

They used to run through my yard until we got the German Shepherds, now only doves, sparrows, blue jays etc. come to the bird feeder. We also used to see a Road runner, and I love their looks too.

Thank you so much! I love this bark paper, and the effects I can achieve. It's subtle texture and color changes enhance the art work!
