This place is at the very Crest of Mt. Laguna off a dirt road leading to an observatory. It's very cold, slightly windy, and very quiet and beautiful. You look down, and you can see the other side of the mountain which is very barren and miles and miles of desert floor leading to Arizona.

It is incredible, and I think very few people ever go there.

I sure have to see that place you're talking about

I get there by turning up a dirt road, and going to the top. It's not marked or blocked off. At the top is a fence, and an observatory for looking at stars. It's just enough room to get out, walk, photograph, and enjoy the view of the desert. I like to photograph the plants there because there is red dirt contrasting with the snow, no human tracks, and a sense of timeless isolation. It's nothing grand or spectacular, just beautiful and quiet.
