There were some of your dog portraits that seemed a little contrived based on photos from books or the generic dog breed look, but this one with its stance and placement and the lack of the body being completely portrayed adds extra personality to the figure~♥

Most of my dog paintings are actual paintings made from a very specific dog photograph...usually taken by Sannas. I try to credit at all times the dog and the photographer or the owner of the dog. None of these paintings are based on photos from books or some generic dog. They are all based on a photo that caught my eye...usually on Deviant Art. I also like this Mexican Hairless, his pose, his crazy hair, and his delightful ears. I'm glad you like him too!

The photo of this dog looks just like this, and his body is hairless with the gray and pink skin with some freckles of darker pigmentation. He has a little bit of hair around his ankles and a little tuft on his tail. They usually look like that so they must just need a baby hairbrush or a comb. I really don't think there is very much grooming involved for the little bit of hair that grows from their heads. I personally like a big dog like my German Shepherds, they protect and serve and earn their chow.

I think this is more a human play mixture with mother nature instead of keeping the finger out of it .. same with the hairless cats .. that all look so terrible :(

I personally agree with you, but some people love their miniature dogs, ponies etc. Sometime it just seems a little cruel. :(

I hate the cruelty of humans .. let nature control them self and don't try to play with it .. this dogs and cats look so terrible wrong .. same with kids .. saw a few days ago somewhere a young girl ( 8 years of age) posing already as model with more makeup in the face as I have painting on my walls .. this parents belong in a closed facility :(
