This is a 11/2 times life size, and yes I did sculpt 1/2 the body also, but I don't know where those pictures are. The Architect wanted hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds sculpted onto his Medieval shirt, and this is the head carved from foam. The circles are made from 3/4" particle board, and I primered them. I used them as guides to sweep the foam, and then carve all the decorative elements. The complete corbel was made in sections, the torso, arms, head, and crown all separate for ease of manufacturing. There are no undercuts in the carving so each element could be pulled from a mold easily. This was carved for DEC Associates, and is installed in the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas on the main gaming floor.
