There are many creatures on this planet, that are magnificent, beautiful, and noble in their own humble way. I just love Rhinos...they are so alert, strong, and if I could get to the San Diego Zoo I would be photographing them. They always delight me.

I wanted to show how the exact same rhino looks different when you paint it on a special, very different surface. If I painted him in oils he would be different still. I just love using different mediums to complete a piece of art work. The surface of this paper and the different colors dictate different approaches to each subject. I want to do a Bear on the dark brown bark paper, and a Giraffe on this golden color. Inspiration and challenges never cease. Thank you for the wonderful words of encouragement!
