I drew up the original design full scale, blueprinted the images, sent blueprints to Dec, their clients, and kept two copies for myself. One set I used for the carving, and the other set was to check as I carved. I decided to carve all three at once from the top decorative detail that goes around the whole perimeter, to the top decorative elements, and then finally the elephants. I did this so my carving would always remain consistent through out.
