      Thank you! I have bearded Iris planted all over the property, but I can never have enough of these colorful beauties. My brother dug some from my Mom's garden and brought Iris to me after Mom died so I could have her Iris in my garden. I love the diversity of colors, and the elegance of form, and love to plant them in between Roses. I'm glad you like this painting. I tried to paint with control and restraint. s

      It's lovely. Iris are my favorite flower and Bearded the fave of the Iris's. I have a colour in my garden that we figure is at least 100 years old. Came from a great-aunt's garden and we have been passing it through the family to keep it going. I'm not sure how many colours of how many varieties I have now.

      I have different varieties, then some of them die because of too much rain, or ground squirrels, and then I buy new varieties and plant some more. However, some last and come up year after year like old friends coming to call. I love Iris, and I'm happy we share that love of their beauty.
