This reminds me of the traditional Scottish song "Twa Corbies" (Two Crows or Ravens) Which is about two crows in conversation while looking for food and happen across a slain knight.
A grizzly tale but a great, dark song from our tradition.
I'm sure if you google the title you'll be able to listen to the song.

I just read the lyrics, and I guess this is what happens to knights when everyone forsakes them, and his love takes another. I had no idea there was a song I could illustrate. Poor knight...fat well fed crows. Tis a l wee bit gruesome!

Most traditional songs are pretty unsavoury. Glad you found the lyric though.

I love folk songs and old songs, and jazz. I don't really like any of todays music very much. My brother is a Luthier, and makes guitars, dulcimers, traveling guitars and decorative tables from beautiful exotic woods. I think you would like and appreciate his work. I will figure out a way to show them to you!

Thanks Anne, I'd be very interested to see them. I know quite a few luthiers who work hard to make a living at it, it's a tough business to be in. Most of my friends are musicians, luthiers, artists and artisans. It makes for some interesting and surreal conversations at times.:-)

Ah, then perhaps all your friends, are gifted, dedicated, under appreciated, and always trying to figure out how to pay the bills. I live in a lovely house, but we have never put the heat on for the last 15 years, and never run the air conditioner. We burn wood we cut from our trees in the winter, and I always buy food that is on sale, and our veggies from the produce stand. When you want to pursue art you had better have a strong constitution, and be willing to sacrifice a great deal to stick with it. There is nothing like completing a job from design, start to finish, but there is little reward in a world where people made everything cheaper, and most goods come from China. I will have to put some of his guitars up, they are made from exotic hard woods, are extremely beautiful, and have been tested by guitarist that played in the San Francisco Symphony. They have great tone, and he works full time designing building for a firm that manufactures pre- fabricated schools. Life is funny that way! Hugs to you and your friends. It sounds as though we would get along fine. My brother, plays and sings, and entertains us all. My mother always wanted help in the kitchen, and I always want some one to play piano or sing and strum the guitar while I cook. Music brings peace to the soul!
