I got a phone call from my daughter that evening telling me, "Dad, get outside...you're going to love tonight's sunset." She was right, I did. So I hauled ass to a decent location near my house and got some beautiful mountain and sunset shots.

Midway through the "blue hour" I pointed my lens further south and managed to see one of the more famous peaks in the range poking out through the clouds. This is what it looked like.

This is not a technically or compositionally brilliant shot but that's not the point.

To my daughter, "Thanks sweetheart. You know your old man well!"
