There have been a few articles in the paper recently reminding us that Tokyo is going to suffer a huge earthquake one of these days and that Fuji is going to awaken and cover us all in lava and ash...jeez....I hope they are wrong!

Yup...she's been quite for a while but has a cycle of past eruptions according to the lore around here. The area has seen increased seismic activity in the past few months. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not enough to wake the giant.

the pacific rim is definitely a ticking time bomb! talks are the same over here in Seattle, WA about the big one coming to level us out..and indeed is when and not if! but until then, hopefully after our lifetime, can enjoy the beauty of kenetic energy as you have captured here very well..beautiful shot
