Went for a short climb today on Kogayama. Only 1400m but the view was great!

Dec 3rd Reply C'mon Pookie...As the snow up there gets deeper, I'll have to break out the snow shoes because I definitely want to revisit this area again!

What a scape
Love the hamlets around the lake. Looks a tourist type of place

Thank you for the fav Will.
Those buildings are just the tail end of the city that is to the right of the shot. It is a tourist area as the Olympic ski site is just 20 minutes north of here. Lots of ski resorts and the such. Very beautiful in winter.
Dec 2nd Reply C'mon Pookie...Truth be told, I was a little homesick that day (doesn't happen very often but it does) and I needed to get outside into the cold and the snow. Stomping around the bush for a couple of hours cured those blues right away. I love the crunchy sound snow makes!

Thank you. I think one of the reasons I walk around with my camera is to find places like this, take photos and remind myself that we are but a small part of the world and that nature is a magnificent place to be!
