how many times have i wandered up to this
fascination with facade
peering through the chasm of cracks
slapping skull against bright white mortar
and wondering where what who
might give way
first
they tell me I've changed
but my eye
still finds
the wall

Luckily the city i live in is pieced together....lots of 100 year old work against more modern facade.

Beautiful texture shot!!!!
Jun 28th, 2011 ReplyHellOnAStick
thank you...I've had an obsession with flat surface lately...not sure why.
Jun 28th, 2011 ReplyTimePortalStudi
Flat surfaces can become art in itself with the texture and style of the material used to build with.

Simple yet fascinating.

Thank you very much. I think I owe /dehk some points for this one because he's the one who taught me how to develop properly. :)

May 11th, 2011 ReplyHellOnAStick
THank you!
May 11th, 2011 Replyhockeygirl
i love the juxtaposition of the two walls. did you find this in reality or combine two photos?
May 4th, 2011 ReplyHellOnAStick
I found this in reality. The city that I live in is probably about 200 years old...and most of the buildings are still standing. My home, for instance, is about 112 years old. I find a lot of weird mis-matched patches and fixes here and there.
May 11th, 2011 Replyhockeygirl
what an opportunity for capturing unique photos. may i ask where you live?
May 17th, 2011 ReplyHellOnAStick
I live just outside of Cleveland OH on the banks of Lake Erie. :)

Apr 14th, 2011 ReplyHellOnAStick
Well, now that I know about the agitation, yeah, it looks much better than alot of others. I didnt do anything to this..just scanned. no tonal correction. so i cant help but be pretty satisfied with that. ::)
