good photo, i like the tones. it seems like her face is slightly out of focus though. also, i feel a little bit more space to the right would've made the composition better.

The window lighting (my favorite kind!) is just wonderful here. I love the contrast and the DoF here. It brings the eye straight to her face, then down to her book, and then to her comfy chair without distraction.
at 1000EI, I believe my meter was calling for f5.6 but I wanted the chair to be as black as possible, not worrying about the detail so much, so I shot it at f8 just to be contrary. hehe. Thank you for the look and the compliment. :)
She is an insane reader...she has about a full-sized bookcase of books in her room everything from animals and insects to the LOTR trilogy and the current Guardians of Gahoole and Percy Jackson books. She reads more than I did, i think, which is saying something.
