Ophelia's Dance

She's gunna be fun to choreograph a fight scene for. Another Eighth Sin character. Ophelia likes to steal the swords of her opponents and keep them stashed away for future use. She stows them in her armoury where she can summon then from wrist/hand sized portals at will, seemingly pulling them out of thin air. She claims she never touches the ground when she fights, just bounces from hilt to hilt. Started two and a half weeks ago, I chipped away at this between commission work 'cause I couldn't afford to give up any time. And now back to it! Ophelia © Gus Kosmopoulos, 2013. Eighth Sin - Issue #0, page 1

Finally my first comic is done! Issue #0 of Eighth Sin made it's premiere at Toronto Comic-Con on Saturday and I sold out of every copy I made! I have to assemble more, now! I haven't been using DeviantArt the last little while so I thought I'd finally get some updates going and give you guys a special view of the ol' comic. I'll upload a page a day here as I go! Two old characters I'm trying to kinda redesign as I work on issue #1 of Eighth Sin. Basically, they're two runaways from magic school who hated how strict and tough it was and decided they were better off on their own. This marks them as rogue wizard's however, and is shunned by most of the orders. Some even consider it punishable by blocking the rogue's ability to use their magic. There's.. a lot more to it all, what magic is, how magic is used, them, etc... i'd be here all night. Regardless! Samara bumps into these two, stuff ensues... you'll see. Cynthia Lovesick

This was a commissioned pieced I did for my friend and tattoo artist, Cynthia! It was so fun to do! I even redrew all of her tattoos to get it right. The logo up top is her shops logo here in Kingston, Ontario (Canada). And if you're in town and itching for a Tattoo, I recommend her! She's done four of mine already and probably starting my sleeve or chest piece starting next month. I think I'm gettin' better at this painting thing. BUT! I need to work on my backgrounds more. This was a straight pin-up picture for her to use for the shop, for cards, posters, advertising, and whatever she wants. I gave it to her like this, but also a simple and seperated version so she could pop her little comic-ized Cynthia onto anything she wanted. Inada Amai - three colours

'Drawing Water' - Moleskin book

I got this idea from several other artists on here and DeviantArt who've done some -really- amazing things with Moleskin books! I sold this piece over on my Facebook page, so that's why the picture is kind of 'advertise'y. I didn't want to make an entirely new image, so! This was -really- fun to do. I'm doing more of them to sell! I make them available on through my Facebook page, but I might start advertising on here.... Thank-you soooo much for purchasing this, Ryan! Commission - Sydney

This was a bit of a special commission piece for Adam of his dog and best friend Sydney, who passed away. I took a while on this piece 'cause.. well it sucks losing your best friend, be it animal, human or otherwise. I know what it's like. So I wanted to make sure this was done with a lot of care. Not that I don't with my other commissions or pieces, of course! But ... you understand Thank-you so much Adam, it was an honour to paint this for you.

Some destressing sketching between commission work. Gotta keep sane somehow. All I seem to do is draw these days, and sometimes when I don't get a chance to work on my own things, I get burnt out. A Willow's Peace

another commission I finished for Jaimie-Lyn. She wanted herself depicted with (the Indian version of) Buddha, meditating beneath a willow. She then left the rest up to me. Had a lot of fun with this and took a while! Lots of detail in the trees done by hand, and painting it took a while. i'm trying to do -more- landscapes in my pieces, more settings, but I need to learn! This'll be a 20x30 poster, which she also bought from me, and will hang up in her Yoga room. Thanks so much, Jaimie-Lyn
