I am eternally fascinated by animal skulls. It's definitely strange and slightly discomforting to see fragments of this one sitting atop a pile of hair-like foliage. It is an arrangement that's beautiful in its own right.

I am too! I have many preserved ones in my home and they are like remnants of the animals beautiful soul. This one I believe was a baby bunny, skull was about the size of my thumb, it was sitting on top of what was left of the rest of it. Unfortunately the skull was too brittle so I gave the little one a burial after the photo.
