FDZN 2014 Fri, 28 Nov 2014 19:43:42 -0500 Empire Traxx Release Artwork (2010)
A rather old piece of mine (2010), but still pleased with it. The project's brief was to create the overall branding of a relatively new record label based in New York, of which included the logotype, along with the cover artwork that was to be used with every EP that they would release. I'm still satisfied with this, as it shows how far I've come in graphic design and branding, and to this day it still is used on every music portal that they release music on. I'd love to hear your comments on this one. Hope all is well, -FDZN Fri, 04 Jan 2013 16:12:10 -0500 Richard Roberts X FDZN - Run Your Jewels: Round 13
My remix for the current round of the ongoing Run Your Jewels project. This was created from the piece "Dark Shadow" originally done by Richard Roberts. If you appreciate this, take some time to comment or share! :) Overall I'm pretty satisfied with this project, and glad I finally took the time to take part in a round of Run Your Jewels, and I'll definitely do more upcoming rounds! -Tom Walsh FDZN (This is a collaboration between me and Richard Roberts, provider for Round 13 of Run your Jewels.) Fri, 04 Jan 2013 12:38:01 -0500 Exploring Nasa Poster 2012
"Exploring NASA is the collaborative effort of artists, musicians, scientists and administrators who are collectively working on an installation artwork that will explore aspects of NASA -from the exploration of the universe and development of technology to its societal impact. The artwork incorporates Hubble Telescope images, children's drawings of astronauts and rockets; launch sequences and radio telescope images and research. The project -including this website- is in its early stages. The intent of Exploring NASA is to communicate a sense of optimism about the future and to convey a sense of collective effort and pursuit of knowledge. NASA represents, to me, the collective will to expand human understanding through a synthesis of technology, vision and courage." -Bruce Walters As I was a current student in a graphic design and layout class that was currently taking part in this ongoing audio/visual arts and sciences exhibit, I gladly came up with a concept for the initial poster design, which happened to be one of the main themes and overall the look behind the exhibition. (All images and photos used within this project appear within the official NASA image gallery.) It was one of the most complicated designs that I've achieved to date,as I'm usually accustomed to creating abstract works, whereas in this piece I really wanted to add sort of a plot and meaning to it. This is an ongoing practice with mostly all of my works to date, as a way of improvement and also a transition into forms of digital art that sort of has an idea behind it, yet could also have abstract qualities improvised into the final piece. Please let me know what you think, I'd love to hear comments or critique! This piece is a collaboration between myself and Diftype, Niklas Lundberg, as he was the provider for Round 14 of the Run Your Jewels competition. Fri, 04 Jan 2013 02:24:48 -0500
