How do I make parts of my portfolio private?

it's in /post/album/organize -- but that will only affect the albums and not the items inside it.
To make the items private, just edit the posts.

I've been looking so hard for where I can edit these settings that just can't see them, and it's driving me mad! I want to set some folders to be viewable only to my friends, can anybody help?
