camera dived into water right after this shot :( Sigma 10-20 and Canon 60D couldn't survive..a sad photo overall, at least i did take some shots lol..R.I.P.
I gotta look for a new camera..any ideas? (P.S. i need crop ones, don't suggest full-frames xD )

oh man..that sucks :( sorry to hear, bud..i know the feeling! she sure took some beautiful pics like this one :)
take it you have some other lenses for canon..looks like the 7d would be the next step up before full frame..

well that's the case..i can go for a nikon for better sensor sensivity for long exposures + a wide angle lens..hmm means some money..if i do that, i'll have to give my Tamron 90mm, Canon 55-250mm and Sigma 10-20mm to my gf so she can use them on her own Canon...or i'll get a 7d or another 60d to keep shooting with less money expenditure..

ahh..would be very nice outcome for the gf! though its nice to be able to share lenses between two people..
never been a nikon fan but they do have very nice cameras, sensors are great as well..sony makes them
hope the picture taking resumes quickly for you :

aww.... that's why its sad look...
whatever you decide.... make sure the camera has a qualified sensor, big enough for the huge masse of pixel......

take it as a new step..... (i still have my old analoge minolta x700, i can't put it away.... it gave me so many wonderful shots)
i don't understand too much about all the technical details of a camera.... what i told you was just what my son advised me.... :-)))) coz i am looking for a little camera, less weigh and comfortable to take with me for a whole day in a City....... i maybe decide for a Fuji.... though, the RAW isn't assisted by the software like Aperture and Photoshop coz its not the bayer system... but it will change soon i hope.

@ new cam: panasonic & sony (and a lot other companies) sell different kind of waterproof/underwater compact cams :)) ... the new sigma (not the objective, but their famous foveon sensor cam) d1x... should be a rather good thing for a different look on/in colors (not so very much your cup of tea, I suppose:)

faveon sensor is cool..im sure results would be extremely colorful on sd1 but as you said i'm more into something high sensivity about noises and better performance on low ISO values for long exposure..
