I'm painting stuff about my favorite seasons...and summer is NOT one of them. I'm quite ready for autumn weather to swoop in, with LOTS of rain and lovely coooool weather. Hence the autumn leaves and YES, that is a butterfly that you will find somewhere in the US in the autumn...

Took me 2 days to do this and yes, its done completed even though the hair is NOT all painted in. I didn't want it to be like that...so this is how it is - end of story.
Watercolor pencils, pastel pencils, some colored pencils here and there, hint of gouache and table salt all on Strathmore Best (Multi) Paper
Sorry for the dark image on the right side...my scanner is abit of a butt

I really had fun with this one. It was outside my norm and I plan on doing more stuff like this...always fun to stretch one's artistic wing XD

Thanks. I've got a couple of sketches that follow this trend...I've got the line work for this scanned in and I want to try it digital as well.
