Oracle... She dreams in a garden of orchids...the small, shiny cool beads in her hand remind her... ...that the tomorrow she has seen... ...is coming. ======================================== Actually, it would be REALLY hot, stuffy and HUMID to say the least meditating/dreaming in a garden of orchids - because A) orchids like humidity (and I *do not*) B) orchids generally reside in/on trees... BUT - she's a fairy and this is fantasy so lets ROLL with it. How did I do this? ---> 6x8 Strathmore Multimedia paper done in: wax soluble Reeves pastel crayons (yep), watercolor, colored pencils, white ink and help from sea salt for the cool affect with watercolor and the Reeves pastel. And that's all. I perceive two more prophetic women to follow oracle...a high priestess and a seer.... Autum Longing

I'm painting stuff about my favorite seasons...and summer is NOT one of them. I'm quite ready for autumn weather to swoop in, with LOTS of rain and lovely coooool weather. Hence the autumn leaves and YES, that is a butterfly that you will find somewhere in the US in the autumn... I didn't want it to be like that...so this is how it is - end of story. Watercolor pencils, pastel pencils, some colored pencils here and there, hint of gouache and table salt all on Strathmore Best (Multi) Paper Sorry for the dark image on the right side...my scanner is abit of a butt

Magic

Magic FINALLY appeared. Now that is all left is Balance...which will show up when the muse deems it, etc. (end of thinking capacity) Magic was inspired by :iconhart-worx: 's lovely image of [http://hart-worx.deviantart.com/art/the-striptease-288505975] - very elegant and classy. The image just "sang" to me :heart: Of course, I think I made my image with a bigger booty/hips...oh well. To be honest with you I can't figure out if "Magic" is a fairy, sylph or angel...or all the above. Magic occurs unexpectedly...all around us...we just need to listen to the Universe in all of its colors, to feel and touch it, either through prayer, meditation, music, song or dance or whatever floats your boat, magic happens. And no, I'm not putting this under "mature". Because if a wee bit of breast and butt bugs you, don't look. Done on Strathmore Best Mutlimedia paper 5x7 in watercolor, wax soluble pastel crayons (yes, you read that right), salt (yeah!), white gouache, along with silver and gold Pentel gel markers. The end. PS - there are 3 strategically placed watermarks on this image.

Sanctuary

"Sanctuary" - more for the butterflies, guarded by the dryad and her forest. My youngest suggested the butterflies be "pink" - how could I say 'no'...so, pink they became. Done on Stonehenge Multimedia paper 9x12 w/ 1/4 inch white border all around it (not shown) using watercolor pencils and some pastels, hint of ink and white gouache. Image does have strategically placed watermarks on it (3 of them w/ my name and © symbol and year) but not so as to detract from the overall image itself. Will be available on Etsy end of the month to serious buyers who wish to purchase the original. Prints will be available on Zazzle here soon. Thanks much to :iconlockstock: for the reference
