Why/how? Just ended up that way. The End. Done primarily in colored pencils combination of Prisma & Dick Blick brand ((which I must add I REALLLY like better than Prisma) and haven't messed with since "coughs" high school)), a few watercolor washes/layers (using Caran D'ache Neocolors I), acrylic white & metallic paint, black ink, pink ink & me not going cross eyed (which I had to pull out my "work" glasses for when my eyes get fatigued). Up for sale for reallly interested persons. Contact me here/send note saying "MUST HAVE" or something to the effect. Image has been watermarked (2 places) but the original comes watermark free and is signed/dated on the back. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by! I had to carefully and gingerly get her by the wings and we laid her down to dry off in the sun, not sure if she was sooo wet if she would make it or not. And it didn't help it was a breezy day and her wings seemed "glued" together with water. We brought her flowers on the off chance that if she wasn't going to make it, she would have pretties that I've seen these butterflies dance and alight all over. Our work paid off and she eventually took flight. I was inspired by a friend to "immortalize" the female butterfly in artwork. And so I did. Life is fleeting and beautiful. She was a flyaway beauty. Watercolor w/ a wee hint of gold acrylic touches on 4 x 6 canvas. Image has a watermark and my name ALLL over it. Up for sale at my FaceBook fanpage tomorrow!… You can follow me there!
