When I tackle a topic, I don’t think I’m done until I’ve found the simplest way to look at it. I think of simplicity as a process. You can’t always start there, but you can find it or create more of it as you go. I also think of simplicity as a by-product. It happens when I find the elegant path or the simple truth. Sometimes I see simplicity as a means to an end — where the end is a simpler understanding or a simpler result or a simpler way to share. I actually never thought I'd be a photographer, but a friend of mine offered me a DSLR for quite cheap, so I bought that, and so it began. It was a Konica Minolta 7D, which taught me everything I know. I've recently upgraded to a Sony A350.

Feb 22nd, 2011I have been a serious amateur photographer for over four years. My passion is nature photography, particularly waterscapes and waterfalls. I also do portrait and event photography, including senior portraits and weddings. I draw so much inspiration from other artists I have networked with through websites like SN. I have to say that the warm welcome I've received here has been tremendous. There's no other art community like this one! The support and encouragement makes me love what I do even more.
