This represents the oddity and abnormality of the idea of identity inside of my mind. Rarely do any of us completely understand what 'identity' means. This is why I chose to represent this idea using an odd structure. This forces the viewer to try and make out the phrase, and once that's done: I can read it, and you can read it, but the next step is to ask whether or not we understand the phrase.
There is an obvious difference between "Who I am" and "Who am I" in terms of meaning. I felt that the prior relates directly to the answer of the latter.
Who am I?
Who I am.
