Back in the '70s, my Kendo Sensei, Roald Knutsen-san, took 6 of us there for four months intensive training. We started in Osaka and ended up in Towada, in northern Honshu. Got my Sandan there.
That's right! I believe you told me that before. Training in any martial art is more intense here! I've been training with my kids occasionally and I'm whipped half way through practice. I might just stay put in my hockey league for the time being where things are safe!
