In strong sunlight these Caribbean Flamingos Phoenicopterus ruber, at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Centre at Slimbridge, look unbelievable. I've never seen them so red/orange before, they must have a feed that's highly concentrated.

Lots of shrimps I guess .. they change the colors if the get lots of shell fish

Beith & I couldn't believe how vivid they were. There was another flock that were, for want of a better word, normal, a nice pink/red. These ones broke the mould.
