There's something about crows...

There sure is, though this one, and its mate I'd shoot. But that's another story

i just checked ....... both, crows and ravens are very often called in mythology.....
Nov 2nd ReplyEarthHart
The crow tends to have a much darker side, bad omens etc., that the Raven

Such intelligent birds! Nice shot especially the tilt of its head.

This one & its mate are killers. They've killed pigeons & Jackdaws, and not to eat
If I had my rifle here I'd shoot the pair, they're an aberration.
Nov 2nd Reply Respect & ResponsibilityMany thanks for the favour, Squire :chers

What gauge would you use? I could lend you my 12 or 16!

I have a 270 Remington, but would use a 22 air rifle. I used the Remington to kill deer, during the cull, when I worked at Woburn Park, owned by the Duke of Bedford

I've only got the shotguns now. My brother keeps them for me as it is illegal for foreigners to hold weapons in Japan.
Nov 2nd Reply C'mon Pookie...Deer season is just winding up in Canada now but I heard that due to the lower numbers this year, hunters are only allowed one tag for all the different seasons (bow, musket, high power).
EarthHart
My rifles are a safe case, in the loft of my daughter's house in Brighton.
Nov 2nd Reply Respect & ResponsibilityOver the past few years, deer numbers have dropped a lot. Whether it's hunting, habitat destruction/pollution or disease, no one's any the wiser. Personally, I feel you have to put climate change in there as well.
One problem with hunting, is that the hunters always go after the big guys, taking out a good sperm-bank.
HillbillyDeluxe
My brother feels the same way and tries to run his own mini conservation effort on his property. Doesn't take out the big bucks much. Younger ones taste better anyway!

Good luck to him
