Ian Marlow, the sculptor, with his Welder, Colin & his wife Kerry, at the Swans of Wells Charity Auction. This shot was taken before the Dinner & Auction. You should have seen them after.
Ian's "Guinevere" sold for £9,000, the highest amount of any by far. This means that she stays where she is, on the Moat that surrounds the Bishop's Palace, bought by the people of Wells. The next highest was sold for £3,800. All told, 60 Swans went under the hammer, raising around £110,000 for local charities & good causes.
Sadly, at the last minute, the organisers wouldn't allow me to take shots of the dinner & auction. Seems my green beard didn't fit in with them.
Lucifer

I don't think it was the beard, Will or anything personal or you'de never have got in at all :-) I think it was incase anyone felt uncomfortable being photographed while eating/drinking/bidding. I think it's different in a street shot.

Then the guys going round the tables photographing folks during the dinner & auction, weren't told. I'll email you what I've found out.
