    Well the world never will blow up ... the Mayan used this calender for thousands of years and the cycles were longer ... every 26000 year all planets line up and it takes 26000 years to the next cycle ... maybe the mayan stone wasn't big enough for a new cycle

      It makes me laugh that a couple of New Age writers, back in the late '70s early '80s, both wrote about the Mayan Calender, saying that the world will end. The Mayans never said/predicted that the world will end, just the end of a cycle. The New Agers made a lot of money out of it.
