This is a Bronze sculpture titled "Pilgrim" by David Backhouse
When I first came across him, the plaque had been removed so the lawn could be mowed, so I named him "The Lone Monk". He resides in the grounds of the Bishop's Palace, in Wells.
How this image came about, was when I was down in Brighton, showing my ex wife the original shot (which I'll put up later) on my laptop. She said he looked alien, she was sitting on the sofa, looking up to the screen. I went & sat with her and saw the effect the LCD screen has. Back in Somerset, I asked a friend if I could create the same effect & he told me of Solarization. The rest is history.
Shot in 2007, on film.

You jumped on it before I had chance to put one up. For now I've pasted the comment from Autumnal Monk. There's a yarn as to how this one came about, and I'll put it up later.
