An hour earlier, I had noticed these two go into The King's Head pub, as I walked up the lane to my flat. After my own lunch I left to go to a meeting, and turning into the lane, I saw the guys coming back to work on the site around the corner. They stared at me, so I shot them both.

i still can not understand how you can take pics without looking into your camera. if i did it the same way as you do they would be without their heads for sure.
Oct 9th Reply who wants a hug?EarthHart
It's all down to triangulation m'deer, you, your camera and the subject. And I do get it wrong sometimes
Oct 9th Reply Respect & ResponsibilityLucifer
i should try it sometimes
you have a lot of practice to capture daily life :)
Oct 10th Reply who wants a hug?EarthHart
I couldn't have done it with film, and it's taken some time to get to where I am now, so don't be put off & keep practising and you'll get there
Oct 10th Reply Respect & ResponsibilityLucifer
did you want to make film?
Oct 11th Reply who wants a hug?EarthHart
No, I meant using a 35mm camera & shooting from the hip would waste film. With digital life is easier
Oct 11th Reply Respect & ResponsibilityLucifer
hahahahaha
hahaha ohhh so silly me
yes you are right
Will, you got me with this

as always ... you are able to change a simple moment into an interesting capture, lively... and close.... great portraiture again !!
Oct 9th ReplyEarthHart
Shooting from the hip gives a different perspective when the subjects are close
