The little girl & her mother sat at the table next to mine. She kept on giggling at my green beard, and her mum apologised. I said that as long as she's smiling there's nothing to worry about. The little lass wanted a drink, so they went & got some warm milk. Now busy drinking it, I was able to get this shot.

May 28th Reply Respect & ResponsibilityBack in 2004, I was doing a gig at Arley Hall, in Cheshire http://shadowness.com/EarthHart/earth-hart-the-yarnweaver the same weekend as my Granddaugher was having a Bone Marrow Transplant. I had to rush back to Wells after the event, as some friends of my daughter were going to pick me up on their way to the Royal Marsden Wolfson Children's Cancer Unit.
I washed & changed, caught the train to Bristol, and the bus to Wells, no strange looks my way. Even Rick & Sue never remarked.
At the hospital, Kaia's first words to me were, "Grannidad, your beard's green, but not green enough. Make it greener & keep it." So I have
