Went into town on New Year's Day and the place was so quiet. As I turned the corner, from the High St. into Saddler St. I saw Dave, a regular at the Pasty Shop, doing what he always does, sitting for hours with one cup of coffee, reading a book. I focused on him & waited for him to turn & see me.
