Dave, the Reader

by EarthHart in Street & Street Portraiture

Went into town on New Year's Day and the place was so quiet. As I turned the corner, from the High St. into Saddler St. I saw Dave, a regular at the Pasty Shop, doing what he always does, sitting for hours with one cup of coffee, reading a book. I focused on him & waited for him to turn & see me.

I wear my Down filled Alaska jacket with a hood almost all the time now, but especially at night! Keep having fun!

Sadly, he found my favourite eatery, Café Piano, and spends hours there now. This was shot when the Piano was closed.

He's very sticky & a bit of a drain. If you work with energy you'll know what I mean.

It's the spiritual/emotional energy that folk give off. I work with my own, and other people's when I'm yarnweaving, and can change the atmosphere from happy to fearful or what is needed at the time. I had a good teacher

I do, but not how most folk meditate. The form I was taught, back in the early '70s, is very natural, and with the Earth

its pity that people dont do such a things more. everything is just about money and material things and thats so bad.
