At Full Stretch

by EarthHart in Wildlife, in all its forms

Some friends & I were walking down down Moat Walk, the cygnets & swans were dozing on the water. We were chatting about the weather, a common topic of conversation in the UK, when I heard some flapping. Turning, I took this shot, not tip-top, but it shows that the flight feathers are in place and ready to be tested.

Not having seen the parents fly since they came to Wells, I'm hoping that they'll soon take their young up for a flight around the Moat.
      Cheers for the favour, m'deer

Yep, all are almost ready to fly. In the next few weeks we should see them flapping up & down the Moat before they actually take off and fly. Interesting times ahead
      Cheers for the favour, Jurgen
