Female Woodduck in a tree
A trip to the school to take the megan her forgotten backpack, and a swing around the city park. Wood ducks are one of the few ducks that not only will perch in the trees - but they will nest there as well.
Now back to working on a couple of drawings in progress :)

Wood Ducks are actually the only ducks that will take to the trees. They will even nest in them. Maybe because they are such little guys? But there are other ducks as small or smaller that don't nest in trees, so I am not sure why. There are a couple of big nest boxes at the park just for them.
