This is a Gray Jay. I have always called them camp robbers - and this guy was living up to his nickname. Hanging around the campsite looking for scraps on a camping trip to the Blue Mountains in Oregon
My cousin gave it to me, He found it badly wounded, one eye blind, one leg broken, and couldn't fly far. Took me a while before I tamed him. I never put him in a cage, he just perched on a tree nearby and comes to me whenever I call. He's still a crow though,scavenging for foods here and there even though I fed him in hands. One day I never saw him again, probably the hunters got to him. :(
