This is a 15 1/2 x 17 1/2 charcoal drawing on bark paper of my cousins dog Annie. He didn't have any good photos of her, so I asked Alesana if I could use one of her photos of her beautiful chocolate lab as a base and change things a bit to look more like Annie. Basically, I changed the eyes - Annie's were a bit darker and rounder. And I made the muzzle just a touch shorter, ears a touch wider. Thank you Alesana !! I love this, and since my name is Annie too...I personally think you caught her eyes and age beautifully. She looks like she is kind, wise, and loving. A beautiful portrait!
